Our Craftsmen

We have two hard-working and experienced craftsmen on site - Neville, who owns the quarry, and Richard. They blast, quarry and finish all the slate by hand.

Working from their open fronted workshop Neville and Richard create a product which is unique to the Lake District and which is second-to-none in quality.

Hand-Made Product

Our products are handmade using only use the finest local slate. Coniston Green Slate is one of the hardest materials available for a tremendous variety of different uses. Its high density and hardwearing quality are among the best in the world.
